Uncool MC – Sesikude EP - Amapiano Groove

Uncool MC puts his journey at the centre of Sesikude, his debut EP released on 2 October 2026. The seven-track Amapiano project arrives through Uncool MC Productions / gamma. Africa, bringing together familiar collaborators while introducing a more personal chapter in his recording career.

Running for approximately 40 minutes, Sesikude includes “Setla,” “Beautiful Day,” “Baba Wethu” and the title track. Its collaborators include DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, Royal MusiQ and Tycoon.

The project gives listeners a fuller introduction to an artist whose work has already connected him with different parts of the Amapiano scene.

What Sesikude Means to Uncool MC

The title Sesikude means “we have come far.” For Uncool MC, born Thando Sibeko, that phrase reflects his development from growing up in Kwa-Thema to building industry relationships and performing internationally.

He has explained that the project draws on his experiences and his transition from working as an MC towards a broader identity as a DJ, performer and recording artist. The title therefore speaks to the years behind the release as much as the music it contains.

His collaborations helped him recognise the strengths he wanted to develop in his own recordings. Sesikude brings those experiences into a project under his name, with positivity, endurance and consistency among the values he hopes listeners take from it.

Setla Introduced the Project

The campaign began with “Setla,” released on 4 September 2026. The song brings Uncool MC together with DJ Maphorisa and N T S A K O XVI, featuring Focalistic and Shaun 101.

“Setla” closes the EP, giving listeners who discovered the project through that single six other recordings to explore before reaching it. The sequence begins with “Baba Wethu,” featuring Luthando and Msfit.

Those opening and closing selections offer two useful entry points. One introduces the project from the beginning, while the other reconnects it with the single that preceded its release.

Showing More of the Artist Behind the MC

At the project’s listening event in Sandton, Uncool MC explained that he had taken his time because he wanted to deliver a solid first project. He also described Sesikude as the beginning of a wider exploration of his abilities.

That intention gives the EP context beyond its guest list. He wants future releases to reveal more of his range, building on the music introduced here.

The opening track’s vocal approach was one of the subjects discussed during the listening-event interview. Uncool MC indicated that listeners could expect more work in that direction, suggesting that this debut offers an early view of his developing musical ambitions.
