SAPS Provides Update On Three Constables Found Dead In Gauteng

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that three missing constables were found dead in Centurion, Gauteng. Their bodies were discovered on the banks of the Hennops River, near the N1 highway.

Officers Went Missing in April

The constables – Keamogetswe Buys, Boipelo Senoge, and Cebekhulu Linda – went missing on 23 April 2025. They were traveling from Bloemfontein to their deployment station in Limpopo when they disappeared.

Bodies Discovered Alongside Two Others

During the search, SAPS also recovered the body of a police admin clerk from Lyttleton Police Station and another decomposed body that has not yet been identified. Vehicle parts, believed to belong to a VW Polo, were also found in the area, which led investigators to search the riverbanks.

Investigation Underway

SAPS says investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death. At this stage, police have not confirmed whether the officers died due to foul play, an accident, or other circumstances.

National Shock and Grief

News of the discovery has sparked sadness and anger nationwide. Many South Africans are calling for answers and accountability. Police management has promised that all leads will be followed until the truth behind the deaths is revealed.
